Wise Owl Acres is a family farm in Sykesville, MD, offering agricultural education programs for children and grass-fed beef.

The story of Wise Owl Acres began in 1939. Jim Dickey, a young D.C. lawyer, purchased the land with dreams of one day sharing it with a family of his own. Seven years later, he married Jean Lois Round and the dream became reality. Wise Owl Acres is now home to two of Jim and Jean's children, one of their grandchildren, and seven of their great grandchildren.
